In-vitro Fertilization (IVF) involves combining eggs and sperm in a laboratory to create embryos, which are then cultured to a suitable stage. These embryos are subsequently frozen and stored for future use, to be transferred into the woman’s uterus when ready. This method helps to increase the success rate of pregnancy. Freezing embryos does not increase the risk of miscarriage or cause abnormalities in the baby.
